Background Information: Nazis came to power in 1933 within Germany. The Nazis felt that their race was superior and they were threatened by extinction. They saw the Jews to be a threat to the survival of the Germans. Adolf Hitler extended his power throughout Europe. Then they began the deportation of Jews.
What Caused It? The Nazis felt that their race was at risk for extinction so they decided to kill off anyone that posed a risk to their race or was considered to be inferior of the Jews.
The Holocaust caused large numbers of immigrants to travel to a new country. This country was named Israel. The Holocaust added pressure to Germany to supply an economic base. This was needed to help build things for the many immigrants that fled to Israel. The Holocaust also impacted the world opinion. This made the United Nations approve the state of Israel. After the Holocaust, Europe was torn to pieces. Millions of people were now homeless and in need of a fresh start. So after the war many people were placed into other countries and areas where they could begin their new lives.
Background Information: World War 2 began as follows. After World War 1, Europe was left very unstable, making the perfect stage for another war. In Europe, Germany rose to power, but it remained politically unstable. It's leader Adolf Hitler was very set on dominating the world.
What Caused It? The outbreak began in result of Germany invading Poland, though there are other things that also caused the war. The Treaty of Versailles - the people that attempted to figure out the terms of the treaty were unable to come to an agreement. The final treaty did not make the Germans happy, though they had no choice in signing it. Hitlers Actions - after Germany signed the treaty they were unhappy. Hitler made promise that he would abolish the treaty. They began to build up their army and weapons. Hitler began to take control of more countries. Failure of Appeasement - which means someone gives up to someone else as long as their demands are reasonable, which Hitler did not.
The end of World War 2 brought big changes in the international politics. The end of the war brought a great need for peace. It brought the establishment of an organization that would help bring peace, security, human rights, and economic stability. Later the US making a nuclear bomb stimulated an arms race. This then declared the Soviet Union and the US to be the two major superpowers.
Background Info: The officials and government could not agree on certain ideas. They could not agree on what government they should have, what freedoms they would allow, and overall just the way they should run the country.
What Were The Causes? A difference in ideology. South Korea has a Republic government, but North Korea has a Communist government. South Korea allows religious freedom, whereas in North Korea they provide an illusion of religious freedom.
This changed the region in so many different ways. First of all, Korea was no longer Korea, it was North Korea and South Korea. There was now an added hostility between the two countries. South Korea was now able to offer its people freedoms they originally were unable to. Which in result brought more people to that nation. North Korea was able to remain against certain freedoms, which drew away a lot of the people from that country.
The bombing occurred in a metro. The metro had been used as a bomb shelter from German bombs during World War 2. The investigation on the attack was headed by KGB or Komitet Gosudarstvennoy Bezopasnosti. The investigation was highly secretive. Not a lot of information was let out. Some even believed that the KGB committed the attack, but covered it up. Armenian Separatists rose to combat Turkish forces that had invaded the Armenian Highlands. The group wanted their beliefs to be the boundaries. This attack was just one of many demonstrations of violence during 1977.
What Caused It? There was a bomb placed in a carrier that was loaded on to a train by which caused the explosion. Armenian separatists used the killings and discrimination from the past to justify the things that they continued to do throughout the future. They killed for the reason that they had been invaded, they wanted to defend themselves, and they wanted to spread.
The bombing brought a fear of the metro to the people. People avoided that way of transportation for a while. This attack was a part of the causes that led up to the Nagorno-Karabakh War. As said before, the attack was one of many that kick-started the war
