LOCATION

  • High atop mountains
  • Closer to the earths poles
  • Located in North America, Asia, and Europe

CLIMATE

  • Long, cold winters and short summers
  • Average temperature is -40 degrees - 20 degrees Celsius   
  • 300-900 millimeters of precipitation per year

Animals that live there are; rodents, moose, deer, spiders, gray wolves, bald eagles, and brown bears

Some plants in coniferous forest are; spruce trees, poison oak, giant sequoia trees, mushrooms, fire weed, and aspen trees.

Adaptations

  • Grey wolves can hear 20 times sharper than humans
  • Their sent is also 100 times keener 
  • Bald eagles have great eye sight and strong talons
  • Bears hibernate in the winter for plentiful food in spring
