Geography

Constantinople as the capitol of the Byzantine or Eastern Roman Empire in AD 330.

Traditionally, the line of Byzantine emperors is held to begin with the Roman Emperor Constantine the Great, the first Christian emperor, who rebuilt the city of Byzantium as an imperial capital, Constantinople, and who was regarded by the later Byzantine emperors as the model ruler.

Daily life in Constantinople was great. It was more advanced then in the Western Europe area.

Religion took on new meaning in the empire. Although Constantine openly supported Christianity historians doubt whether or not he truly ever became a Christian.
