Early Muslims invented Algebra

Algebra is my favorite assignement, thanks Early Muslims!

Suqs or Bazaars

Were the centers of commerce in those days
Bazaars are still used. In early bazaars you could find exotic goods, listed in next slide. Trade was one good form of obtaining those goods.

Some goods you could find

In a Suq or bazaar
A few items missed, here they are:
Gold, silk, apricot, cherry, fig, date, sugar, sherbet, boiled candy, almonds, liquorice, Turkish Delight, Bedouin bags for transport of goods, green coffee beans, tea, beautiful rugs, and vegetable oils. To make things clearer, "nigiri" means rice

Slavery was important those days,

But the Quran told to free slaves

Parents were expected

To take care of their kids, and kids to respect them

Cities were

Developed, clean, and beautiful
They were also well protected to aviod invasions. They had watermills, because the avast of water was little, and they had to bring it in.

Letters were delivered

By pigeon post since 1150 AD
Pigeon post has been very efficient since then.

Education was VERY IMPORTANT

It ranged from math to religion to poetry
The schools were called madrasahs, and they were high-leveled education places, then they came Universities

Knowledge
