Memories

• I am Amari , and I am going to share some memories with you.
• I lived in a village in Africa; my father was a good story

• My mom was a great weaver and showed me to do it also.
• I had a little brother and i was soon to be a bride.
• I was engaged to a good looking man named Besa.

On the ship

• I met a woman named Afi. 
• I met Afi at Cape Coast Castle.
• Afi could speak my language. 
• Afi and me were on the boat together.
• I got to the land and realized that i would be working on a farm.

on the farm

• On the farm I met Teenie and Tidbit.
• Teenie was a cook and Tidbit was Teenie's son.
• Amari and Afi were seperated by then.
• Amari was given a large job, but messsed up.
• She was punished very severly for messing up.

The run

• Me and Polly decided to run away, and im not going to spoil how that goes.
• We went into the woods to run away and we were livin tough for a while.
• The end of the book is happy but i wont say exactly what happens.
