  • Roman numerals were,are and will always be important. There are lots of different clocks with these numbers on them.

ROMAN RELIGION

  • The Romans worshiped many gods and goddesses. The chief of God was Jupiter.Zeus is Jupiter. There are many statues of the gods and goddesses.

FAMILY LIFE

  • School masters and teachers were often strict. Woman enjoyed more freedom than many other early civilizations.

  • The main crop was wheat. The Romans practiced crop rotation and mixed farming. The land was prepared for crops by using oxen to pull plowes.

  • The ancient romans made a lot of inventions.
  • Like a bath house ,homes and ships.
  • They made armour,time,and the calendar.

WHO RULED THE LAND

  • Emperor Augustus ruled over the land.The first emperor was Julius Caesar his nephew was Augustus.

SOCIAL HIEARCHY

  • The slaves and poor people were at the bottom of the social hierarchy.This was because there status was low.

  • They settled near water because they needed to drink it and for their special needs.

  • Did you know the father was the head of the family. The fathers are the ones who took care of the slaves instead of the mother. Also public baths were places where people met and relaxed. They had a central heating and five different pools.
