Aquamarine is found in many parts of the world including North America, South America, Russia, India, Madagascar and Africa.

Aquamarine is formed from beryl. It is one of the most common minerals around. Although, Aquamarine does also have traces of beryllium, a very rare mineral. Mostly found in granite pegmatite's.

Aquamarine is formed inside of rocks. Especially granite, and metamorphic rocks. When mined, the Rock has to be injected with gases and pressure. Then, the rock splits in half. After that, the gem is mined out of the rock with a special tool called the pick. That way, you won't break the precious stone.
