WHERE IT STARTED

• Bee-keeping started in lower Egypt because of the flowers there

WHAT BEES WHERE USED FOR

• Bees where used for honey.
• They gave phoraoh the name Bee-King

WHERE THE BEES MADE THER HONEY

• The bees were kept in cylindrical hives made from clay and stacked horizontally on top of each other
• and made there honey there.
• This makes the honey being stored easier and bee larve being raised is less likely, so ot makes it easir to harvest.

HARVESTING THE HONEY

• To harvest you need to go around the back of the hive and open it.
• Harvesting takes place in Spring and in late Autumn
• P.S when you harvest you need to shave your head because the the bees
• react violently to the purfume of your hair.
