ANALYSIS

  • This book was recommended by my sister
  • My favorite character is Mafatu because he is very resourceful like when he set a trap to kill a wild pig
  • My least favorite characters are Mafatu's friends because they made fun of him
  • My favorite episode is when Mafatu returned home with courage and was no longer afraid
  • I learned to be brave and conquer your fears

PART TWO

  • When Mafatu Ignores the mean boys it encourages you to not listen to unkind words
  • Yes I liked this book because at the end people don't make fun of Mafatu
  • My least favorite part is when Mafatu's mom brought him up to shore and died

PART THREE

  • I found the grammar was easy to follow but the language gave different words such as feke - octopus Marae - a secret place Maui - god of the fishermen

CONCLUSION

  • I enjoyed reading this book I would read it again
  • I recommend this book to ages ten and older because of the violence
