  • Education has progressed very slowly in Cambodia.
  • Due to French Coloneirs neglecting educational needs in Cambodia.
  • It was not until very late 1930s that the very first high school was built in Cambodia.
  • When Cambodia gained independence from France the education started to progress a lot in 1950 to 1960

EDUCATION IN AUSTRALIA

  • Education across Australia is the same. There is a difference between private and puplic schools.
  • The first school was built in 1789 by captain Arthur Phillip the school was run by two convicts.
  • Australia has many different education courses for international students with more than 1200 institutions.
  • You can study on every level of education from primary to high school to training and university.

CULTURAL DRESS

  • The cultural dress in Cambodia is called the Sampot.
  • Most Cambodians wear casual clothes execpt for formal occasions when they wear the Sampot .
  • The Sampot is a long rectangular cloth worn around the lower body. It can be draped in many different ways.
  • The Sampot dates back funan era when the king ordered his people to wear the Sampot at request of the Chinese.
  • The Sampot is worn at special occasions such as weddings funerals and more.

AUSTRALIAN CULTRURAL DRESS

  • Australia does not have a traditional dress has a nation.
  • The Aboriginals have a native dress that they wear in the corrobee.
  • Their native dress represents the colours of the land, they paint themselves to further represent the dream time.

  • Healthcare in Cambodia is quite poor. They struggle to meet demands of basic needs.
  • Simple diseases cause many deaths over in Cambodia and many other medical needs. They have few cures.

  • The main religion in Cambodia is Buddhism.
  • Buddhism has existed in Cambodia since the 5th century AD.
  • Thevada Buddhism is now the state religion in Cambodia.
  • It is estimated that 95% of the population of Cambodia believes in the fate of Buddhism.

  • Christianity is the major religion in Australia.
  • All the other religions in Australia are based on Christianity.
  • There are many other smaller religions such as Muslim, Buddhism and many more.
  • There are also a number of Atheist.

  • The politics of Cambodia work in a constitutional monarchy.
  • Cambodia is ruled by a Prime Minister. Monarch is the head of state.
  • The nation goes by the rules of the constitution meaning no law can break it.
  • Executive power is controlled by the government.
  • Legislative power is controlled by two chambers of government the National Assembly.

  • The Australian government is ruled by a Prime Minister called Tony Abbot.
  • We like Cambodia has a constitution meaning no law can break it.
  • The place where the parliment house is the capital city Camberra, ACT.
  • The government that runs Australia is called the Liberal party.
