HEAT INJURY

  • Green zone less than 95 degress
  • Yellow zone 95-100 degrees
  • RED zone over 100 degrees

LESS THAN 95 DEGREES

  • Between 95-100 degrees
  • Plan for shade time
  • Cool drink every 30 min
  • Wet towels at all outdoor activities
  • Check with cabin nurse to identify which campers may be at additional heat risk

SHADE

COOL OFF

RED Zone

  • Over 100 degrees
  • Limit outdoor activity to 30-45 min with shade
  • No high exertion activity
  • Cool drink every 30 min
  • Wet towel for any out door activity
  • Talk to your cabin nurse to identify any campers at additional risk
  • Plan alternative activities in the cool for campers at risk for heat injury
