2.
CELL MEMBRANE
Boundary of the cell
We chose a receptionist because he/ she controls who comes in and out of the office.
3.
CYTOPLASM
Suspend the organelles and fills the cells
I chose air because it fills our lungs.
4.
NUCLEUS
Control center of the cell
I chose the boss because like the nucleus he/she works as a control center.
5.
NUCLEOLUS
An area in the nucleus
I chose a mug because it’s usually in the bosses office.
6.
CYTOSKELETON
Network of protein fibers and gives cells its shape.
We related this to the walls of the office because it gives the office shape arms separates workers.
7.
SMOOTH ER
Contains no ribosomes and makes lipids and vesicles.
We related this to a because packaging takes place and then is transported
8.
ROUGH ER
Transports proteins that were made on the ribosomes
I chose an letter because they are used to transport things like a rough ER
9.
RIBOSOMES
Site of protein synthesis and makes protiens
I chose a coffee machine because it makes coffee that gives us energy.
10.
GOLGI BODIES
Modifies, sorts, and packages proteins.
I chose boxes because it sorts and packages like the Golgi body does.
11.
VESICLE
Transport materials within the cell.
I chose a shipping truck because it transports materials like a vesicle.
12.
MITOCHONDRIA
Powerhouse of the cell
I chose coffee because it gives energy to workers just like the mitochondria does.
13.
VACUOLE
Fluid filled sac used for storage of water, food, etc.
I chose a refrigerator because it stores food and water just as a vacuole does.
14.
LYSOSOMES
Contain digestive enzymes that break down cellular waste.
I chose a paper shredder because just like a lysosomes it breaks down waste.
15.
CELL WALL
Rigid layer outside of the cell membrane. Gives support and protection.
I chose the building walls because it surrounds and protects the offices.
16.
CHLOROPLAST
Carries out photosynthesis.
I chose solar pannel in an office because it gives energy to everything I’m the office like a chloroplast.
17.
CENTRIOLES & CENTROSOMES
Made of micro tubes and aids in cell division.
I chose a desk because it aids and supports the things on the desk and the people.
