  • Chemical change is any change that results in the formation of new chemical substances

Lighting a match is a chemical change because it is burning and creating ashes, and CO2

My chemical reaction, lighting a match on fire creates CO2, ashes, and makes a flame when struck on a object that allows the match to be lit.

This chemical reaction can take place anywhere whether it is you trying to light a campfire in the middle of the woods, or at your home. This chemical reaction is a man made reaction that can be observed anywhere.
