Despite claims by animal rights activists, it is undeniable that animal based research has contributed to significant improvements in the length and quality in our lives. Indeed wherever one might stand on the issue we all benefit from the use of animal medical testing.

HERE ARE SOME DISEASES THAT ANIMAL TESTING PREVENTED

  • Breast cancer, child leukemia, lung cancer
  • Soon to be cure for aids and HIV
  • Heart disease, stroke
  • Diabetes, parkinson disease, hepatitis C
  • Birth defects, epilepsy, cystic fibrosis

Doing tests on animals also helps find cures for their diseases.

Pets, livestock, and animals in zoos live longer, more comfortable, and healthier lives as a result of animal research.

In many cases, treatments have been made to treat rabies, canine parvovirus, distemper, feline leukemia, heartworm infestations, brucellosis, and tuberculosis.

Research animals are cared for by veterinarians, husbandry specialists, and animal health technicians to ensure their well-being and more accurate findings.

Animal research has played a vital role in virtually every major medical advancements of the last century, of both human and animal health.

Polio is one of the many diseases that literally crippled many people in the United States. Thanks to this testing, the vaccine was developed in the late 1950's.

Other vaccines were made for Typhus,Dipheria , Whooping Cough, Smallpox, and Tetanus.

So that is how animal testing benefits everyone, as they all (animals included) get the necessary treatments needed to help them in their daily lives.
