  • “By her relationship with Christ, the Church is a kind of sacrament or sign of intimate union with God, and of the unity of all mankind” (LG, 1).   • Third mark of the Church • universal • She poses the fullness of Christ, truth, revelation, is for all mean everywhere and all the time • Not limited to one race or nation • The Church continues to manifest this mark of universality

APOSTOLIC

  • connected with the Apostles • final mark of the Church • means that the Church originated with the Apostles • there are the foundation of his Church. • Apostolicity: the fact that the Church is still ruled by the legitimate successors to Peter and the Apostles, mainly, the Pope and the bishops. • She professes the same doctrine taught by the Apostles. • The Church is founded upon the teachings of our Alford handed down by the Apostles
