THE BEGINNING
- John ate tons of candy
- He got a little red dot on his nose
- He had to go to the doctor
- The doctor gave him a tonic
- John was supposed to stop eating sweets
- He did not stop!

THE STRANGEST THINGS STARTED TO HAPPEN!
- A storekeeper at a strange candy shop somehow knew John Midas's name.
- When John put toothpaste on his toothbrush, it tasted like chocolate.
- All food, and candy tasted like chocolate. In fact, everything John touched turned to chocolate!
- The candy store and storekeeper disappeared and there was only an empty lot when John tried to show his dad.

- Doctor Craniums said that John had something called chocolatitis.
- The doctor named it,"Cranium's Disease".

- The shopkeeper said, "Part of your cure is to be concerned about other people."
- "You have been so greedy that you didn't care what happened to other people."

What makes The Chocolate Touch a fantasy?
- John's mom can't really turn to chocolate.
- The candy store can't really disappear.
- When you eat a real egg, it doesn't turn to chocolate.
- A red dot doesn't mean that he eats a lot of chocolate.
- The mother turned back into a human!
- Everything was normal again,
