WEATHER AND WHY THIS IS IMPORTANT

  • For the American plan to work it had to be low tide.
  • It was very stormy on their first scheduled attack so they postponed it
  • Since the first scheduled attack was postponed the attack scheduled June fifth was now June sixth

WHY THEY LANDED IN NORMANDY

  • It was strategic
  • America sent a spy to the Nazis saying they would arrive at the east coast
  • So America and UK had a surprise attack search

HOW DANGEROUS IT WAS

  • Most of the soldiers had very heavy backpacks that drowned them
  • The soldiers were coming from a low level and the Nazis were on a hill

THEIR STRATEGY

  • The soldier dressed as Nazis tricked the Nazis
