  • The first fleet left on the 13 May 1787.
  • The first fleet left in Portsmouth
  • The British started putting convicts in jail in the 16th century.
  • The first fleet arrived in Botany Bay on the 18th January 1788.
  • The England land send more than 5000 convicts.

WHERE?

  • They left to start their journey at Portsmouth on the 13 May 1787.
  • They arrived in Botany Bay on the 18th January 1788

WHO?

  • Arthur Phillip was the captain who was in charge of the first fleet.
  • Arthur Phillip was born on the 11th October 1738.
  • He died on the 31st August 1814 (Age 75)
