What is a flood?
A flood is when a large amount of water is farther then where it usually is. So basically it is covering land.

Floods occur in low lying areas, next to streams or rivers.

They mostly occur from Spring to Fall.

Floods occur because there is a intense burst of rain like during a thunderstorm.

  • People are hurt or killed
  • Water and electricity supply can be harmed
  • Floods carry diseases that can hurt people

FLOODS CARRY DISEASES/INFECTIONS LIKE:

  • Military Fever
  • Pneumonic Plague
  • Dermatopathia
  • Dysentery
