Environmental Issues
tourism's relationship with the environment is complex. It involves many activities that can have adverse environmental effects. Many of these impacts are linked with the construction of general infrastructure such as roads and airports, and of tourism facilities, including resorts, hotels, restaurants, shops, golf courses and marinas.

Terrorist Attacks
Terrorism has affected the tourists' perception with regard to travelling and the risk associated with it. Over the years, terrorism acts have targeted tourist sites and in places where people gather in normal places.

Local Infrastructure Problem
Too many tourism destinations are not prepared for the visitors. They lack good sanitation facilities and water treatment plants. Likewise both roads and sidewalks are not well maintained creating hazards not only for the local population but also for the visitor population.

Air Crash/Accident
"Whether it was mechanical failure or (as now seems more likely) terrorism, the downing of EgyptAir flight MS804 this weekend provided yet another reason for tourists to give the Nile a skip."

Changing Demographics
Demographic change will impact upon the types of tourists that will travel, where they originate from, where they travel to, the types of accommodation they require, and the activities they engage in while away.

Visa Regulations
"– Quantum Travels – stated that the Indian business has been decimated with many agents in India diverting tourists to other destinations with friendlier visa policies."
