THE VIRGINIA PLAN...
Was suggested by Virginian Edmund Randolph.
Focused power to the central government.
Had a bicameral legislature, made up of two houses.
Both house's number of representatives based on state population.

THE NEW JERSEY PLAN...
Was proposed by William Patterson.
Gave power to the states.
Had a unicameral legislature.
Gave equal power to each state no matter the size by having a equal number of representatives from every state.

THE GREAT COMPROMISE
Bicameral legislature (Virginia Plan)
In the lower house, number of representatives were based on state population. (Virginia Plan)
In the upper house, the number of representatives were equal. (New Jersey Plan)
Is also known as the Sherman Plan or the Connecticut Plan.
