WHAT DO THEY DO/WHAT DOES IT MEAN?

• Definition:the branch of zoology concerned with reptiles and amphibians
• What they do: herpetologist study and gather information on reptiles and amphibians.

REQUIREMENTS PT.1

• Sex:both(m and f)
• Age:18 or older
• Training and Experience:Although there are no actual requirements most students interested in herpetology decide to volunteer in programs.

REQUIREMENTS PT.2

• Education: A four year degree,depending on college or university a student should major in biology,zoology earth sciences or agriculture.

SKILLS

• Physically fit
• Must be able to work in a group or independently
• Strong observation skills
• Possess excellent critical thinking and decision making skills
• Must be comfortable working in a wide range of enviorments

WORK ENVIORMENT

• The enviorment of a herpetologist depends on what animal they are studyng and where they live.
