  • Doesn't have to be publicly said to hurt

  • Predators take on fake identities to gain trust

How to be Safe from Sexual Predators

  • Have the parents check the website first
  • Tell children not to post private information like addresses and photos
  • Teach children about privacy settings
  • Know when to leave an uncomfortable or weird conversation

Internet Pornography

  • Children are going to search for it since it's there
  • Software filters don't always work
  • Children can delete history so find other ways to monitor

  • Never give out passwords
  • Learn how to block or ban someone who is bullying
  • Create a new account that the bullies don't know
  • Do not respond to rude or harrassing emails
  • Talk with children to educate them about the dangers
