Zebra Mussel poem

We are always and forever on the march
Our thirst for new land can never be parched
We are conquerors of any that come in our way
And everything in sight will be ours at the end of the day
Our sharp, striped shells will be the mantle of the earth
All will hail this day as the zebra mussel nation’s birth
And it is only fittin’
That all will be our chitin
For we are the pinnacle of evolution
In our zebra mussel revolution
Everything in sight will be ours at the end of the day!
