The FA women's Premier League was founded in 1992. It consists of 6 divisions with 72 teams in total. Arsenal LFC have won 12 championships in total which is the most titles any English women's team has won.

The FA Women's Premier League Northern Division is a league in the third-level in the women's football pyramid in England, along with the Southern division. These two divisions are part of the FA Women's Premier League and below the two divisions of the FA Women's Super League.

The league is played on a home and away basis, with each team playing each other twice, and points being awarded in the standard football format. The bottom two clubs are relegated.

WOMEN'S SUPER LEAGUE

The WSL has two leagues of its own one is called the WSL 1 and the other one is called WSL 2, the WSL 1 consists of 9 teams and WSL 2 consists of 10 teams with the same rules as any other leagues.

The WSL 1 league was founded in 2011 and the WSL 2 league was founded in 2014. Both Arsenal and Liverpool have won the WSL 1 title twice and Chelsea winning the most recent.
In the WSL 2 league. Both Sunderland and Reading won the title once.
