INTRODUCTION

  • Interesting Fact: Her uncle coached and mentored her as a child

Jasmine was the first female quarterback to make it to the Pop Warner playoffs in 2003. She was also the first black female athlete to lead a team to the national championships. Her story was based on the movie The Longshots, which starred Keke Palmer.

ACCOMPLISHMENT 1 199O'S

  • Jasmine's team achieved an 11-1 season and headed to the super bowl.
  • She was 11 when she became the first black female quarterback.

ACCOMPLISHMENT 2 1990'S

  • She joined the Colts' Junior Pee Wee division.
  • Though they lost to the southeast apaches, history was made through her efforts.

SPECIAL RECOGNITION 2008

  • The film, The Longshots was released in the year 2008.
  • This film depicted Plummer's experiences.
  • Plummer was portrayed by the actress/singer Keke Palmer.
