The Reason for the Plow

  • The regular cast iron plows used at the time were not enough to plow through tough, thick soil.
  • Coming from a family of farmers, he knew how big of a problem this could be.

THE PLOW ITSELF

  • Deere used an old saw blade and attached it to a moldboard that was made from an old steel blade

It's Impact

  • The plow made farming much easier because it cut through the earth more efficiently.
  • It did not have to constantly be cleaned like the old plows did.
