Madagascar is the fourth largest island in the world with a population size of just over 22 million! Here we have 90% of wildlife that is found nowhere else on earth!
MADAGASCAR IS THE COUNTRY FILLED IN WITH RED. THE CAPITAL OF MADAGASCAR IS ANTANANARIVO. YOU CAN GET TO MADAGASCAR BY TRAVELING ON A PLANE FROM THE U.S.
CLIMATE
- Hot and rainy: November-April
- Cool and dry: May-October
- Heavy rains support rainforest ecosytem on East Coast
- Cyclones every year cause mass destruction and loss of life
Langues!
Languages, or langues in French, which happens to be one of the languages spoken in Madagascar, is one of the most spoken languages here. Another language the Malagasy speak is Malayo-Polynesian.

HISTORIC PLACES AND TOURIST ATTRACTIONS
- Royal Hill of Ambohimanga, Antananarivo
- Fort Dauphin: Where tourists can stop to see humpback whales
- Andasibe-Mantadia National Park is packed with black and white indri lemurs
- Nosy Komba Island is also filled with lemurs that will come in contact with tourists
Rice is the main food of the Madagascar diet. The national dish of the Malagasy is made up of beef known as zebu mixed with greens sautéed with ginger, tomato, and onion.
