NICOLO'S BACKGROUND

  • Machiavelli lived from 1469-1527.
  • When Machiavelli was young, he worked as a diplomat.
  • He was a devious boy and eventually was put in jail and excommunicated from his political position.
  • Machiavelli attended the University of Florence.
  • He died in a small village in Florence and his tomb is in the Santa Croce church.

MACHIAVELLI'S ACCOMPLISHMENTS

  • Machiavelli is known as the father of political theory
  • Machiavelli created writings and books about his opinion about Italian Politics.
  • His most famous book was the Prince created in 1496.
  • Many other of his works were unfinished.

THE MACHIAVELLI IMPACT

  • With his book "The Prince", it Impacted the political world of today.
  • His ideas and predictions of today's political society have been correct.
  • Still today, we use Machiavelli's experiences and opinions as a reference.
  • Machiavelli is considered to be the pioneer for politics around the world.
