State flag
The state flags blue color is the old glory and the symbols mean ship on full sail,a plow and 3 sheaves of wheat

  • The state flag stands for a ship on full sail a plow and three sheaves of wheat

State name
William penn wanted to name his colony sylvania but the king added penn in honor of him after his death

Statehood history
Pennsylvania has a rich heritage. Like in 1999 they made a quarter with the motto, the state, and the common wealth statue.

State bird
The state bird is the ruffed grouse it's reddish and it eats leaves,fruit,berries and more.

State flower
The Pennsylvania state flower is the mountain laurel. Which is 12-20ft tall and blooms in mid June And is usually pink or white.
