• Has a true circulatory system 
• Has no true respiratory system 
• Reproduces sexually but is hermaphoditic
• Annelida- "annellus" (Latin) means little rings

• Some Annelids can regenerate 
• Some are eaten by other animals
• All but polychaeta have clitellum to reproduce

• Polychaeta means "many bristles"
