• Physical education teachers help children develop physical abilities and healthy habits that can last for the rest of their lives.

• Physical education teachers have an important job — not only are P.E. teachers responsible for the physical well-being of students, P.E. teachers also play a vital role in students’ educational prowess.
• Coach will lead students into activities and sports in order to help them learn life-long skills, promote fitness and healthy lifestyle choices.

Training/Education Requirements

• Physical education teachers usually hold a bachelors degree in physical education and athletic training. They also need to obtain a teaching certificate.
• Also many physical education teachers have personal experience in sports.

Entry Level Salary&Range

• As of October 2009, physical education teachers with less than one year experience earn an average salary of $33,000 to $40,000 per year.
• Like any teaching job, the more teaching experience you have, the more money you will make, this depends on the state you reside in and what school district you are employed with.
