WHAT DOES THIS POEM MEAN?

A) EXPLAIN WHAT THE POEM MEANS TO YOU

Untitled Slide

  • The poem 'Eye of the beholder ' is based of 3 different point of views. The priest, artist and farmer are looking at the exact same 'scene'.
  • The priest saw the scene as Gods creation and thanked God.
  • The artist saw the scene as a work of art and he also thought about all the money and fame he would get for painting this scene
  • The farmer had more of sarcastic about it, he thinks the huge amount of land would be a bad place to lose a cow.
  • To me this means that people will always have different perspectives on things. The three people had different thoughts on the seven that was in front of them because of the way they had lived and had been used to.
