WHat is Public DOmain
- Everything that is NOT under copyright law
- There for, making it open to the public for use
When DO works enter P.D
- 70 years after authors death
- If author is anonymos, 120 years after date of creation
- 100 years for the publishing company
The second someone finishes their work, it goes under copyright law automatically
But, after 70 years of the creators death, it enters the public domain anyone is free to use it however one wants

- For example, I drew the elephant in the last slide, so i own all rights to it
- So, unless I give someone else permission, then no one can use it
There are many things that are under copyright law
But there are just as many that are in the public domain
