Agriculture started in the Neolithic age.
Agriculture is farming and the domestication of animals
They started farming when they learned how to plant seeds for food.
Domestication was started when they learned how to use animals for human uses like meat milk and hauling.

Agriculture effects today because we are able to have pets, and use animals for more uses.
Also it helped us today by have a stable food supply because we have more seeds to plant.

TRADE
Trade was very important in Neolithic times because it helped people get what they needed or didn't have.
They traded for things like flint, obsidian, hematite, and beauty products.

HOW TRADE EFFECTED MODERN DAY
Trade is not used as much as it was in the Neolithic times cause we use money to pay for things we want instead of having to give an item.
But we still do trade to get resources.

PERMANENT SHELTER
In the Neolithic age people started to build permanent shelters cause they didn't have to move around as much as the Paleolithic age.
They built permanent shelters out of packed mud bricks and then they started adding branches and stone.
The shelters were rectangular and had different rooms.

Permanent shelter effected today because it helped us get better at building permanent shelter into large buildings and houses.

WRITING
The first form of writing was called cuneiform which means wedge.
Cuneiform was started 2400 B.C.E
At first there were 2000 letters but then they narrowed it down to 700.

Writing effected modern day cause we were able to narrow it down to the alphabet.

Irrigation gave people a stable food and water supply because it allowed them to have a stable water supply.
One of the parts of the irrigation system where levees, which kept the water from flooding them.
