  • Anxiety
  • Suicide
  • Develop mental skills

DEPRESSION

  • You become sad
  • You have rage
  • You become isolated/ lonely
  • Your self esteem is low
  • You have negative racing thoughts

HALLUCINATION

  • You will experience, incoherent mumbling, and restless sleep
  • You see unusual illusion's
  • You may see colors in different shapes and forms
  • You have auditorial, and tactile difficulties
  • You may have some sort of paranoia

ANXIETY

  • You over medicate yourself
  • You think people are always talking about you
  • You can't focus, with work, life relationships
  • You don't want to see friends, family as often
  • You may have nervous behavior

SUICIDE

  • You think of jumping of a cliff
  • You drive off a bridge
  • You suffocate yourself
  • You may want to drown your self
  • You may self harm. This is extremely experienced with solitary confinement

DEVELOP MENTAL SKILLS

  • Your brain is not functioning at the same level as normal child your age
  • Your brain is not focused with positive thoughts
  • You may have trauma to the brain
  • You may have self- harm, which can lead to disability
  • Lastly, all that is mentioned above leads to suicide, which was the slide before

UPDATES AND CHANGES

  • New York civil liberties union
  • No pregnant woman and 16-17 year olds in adult prison
  • They are also working on the age group and length of solitary confinement

MY PERSON TAKE

  • No more solitary confinement as punishment, not effective... Time to be determined (if at all)
  • One commits an offense, however implement a way to coach them with a vision to success
  • Discipline/ Working, teach tools to approach discipline and how working can be used to better success themselves
  • Education with life skills, coaching mentoring, group work
  • Health/wellness/ group fitness teach through exercise, coaching, meditation, educational seminars, leadership
