Description
Temperate Forests are located in the mid-latitude areas.
This means they are found between polar regions and the tropics.
The Temperate Forest regions are exposed to warm and cold air masses, which causes all four seasons.

Some Temperate Forests are located in the United States, Canada, Europe, parts of Russia, China, Japan, Spain, Alps and the Himalayas, and Africa.

CLIMATE
Average temperature- 60 degrees F during the day & during the night time below zero.
Temperate forests go through all four seasons.
Rainfall ranges from 40 inches to 150 inches per year.

All plants have to adapt to the different seasons. For example, in the fall the leaves fall off the trees.
