THE LAUNCH
The Titanic was built in Belfast,United Kingdom
The construction started on March 31, 1909
The ship weighed 52,310 tons
2 Tons of soap was used to help launch the ship
It set out on its voyage on May 31, 1911

THE CAPTAIN
Captain Edward J. Smith was the captain of the Titanic
He was born on January 27, 1850 in Hanley,United Kingdom
He died on April 15, 1912
He died at the age of 62
His body was never found after the sinking of the Titanic

FIRST CLASS PASSENGERS
They lived in the lap of luxury
A first class ticket today would cost around $70,000.00
Maids cleaned the first class passengers rooms
The first class passengers were businessmen, bankers, professional athletes, politicians, and high ranked military personnel
They were fed baked apples, corned beef, and french ice cream

SECOND CLASS PASSENGERS
Not quite as luxurious as the first class
Second class nowadays is the average person today
A second class passenger ticket costs 960 dollars today
Second class was the second richest people on the ship
Second class had a library and got to swim in the saltwater swimming pool

THIRD CLASS PASSENGERS
Third class carried diseases
They were the poorest people on the ship
Third Class passengers had old worn out clothes and could not afford new ones
Third class tickets nowadays costs 172 to 640 dollars
Their rooms were not very big as you can see in the background

THE SINKING
The Titanic hit the iceberg at 11:40 P.M. on April 14,1912
The lookouts couldn't see the iceberg until it was right in front of the ship
There was more than 1,500 people dead that night
The Titanic hit the iceberg at the front and at the bottom of the ship
The Titanic sank at 2:20 A.M. It took 2 hours and 40 minutes
