Plants

  • Two-thirds of all flowering plants can be found in the rainforest.
  • There are still millions of plants and species that are not discovered yet in the tropical rainforest.
  • Some of these plants are : the cocoa bean, banana plant, asplenium nidus, Amazon's cruise, and heliconias.

climate

  • Most rainforests are located near the equator which causes equatorial characterization.
  • Three major climatic parameters: temperature, rainfall, and dry season other parameters are carbon dioxide concentrations, solar radiation, and nitrogen availability.
  • Rainfall changes throughout the year.

Animals

  • There are many animal species in the rainforest.
  • Some of theses animals are: red eye tree frog, macaw, poison dart frog, tiger, jaguar, anaconda, and python.
  • There are forest floor animals and higher animals in the tropical rainforest.
  • The higher animals are bigger than the forest floor animals.

Location

  • The tropical rainforest biome is located in Central and South America.
  • Also they are located in Southeast Asia, Africa, and Australia.
  • We are specifically looking at the Tropical Rain Forest of the Amazon in South America.

Weather cycles

  • The temperature in the Amazon's Tropical Rain Forest is hotter than the outside of the rain forest.
  • Rain comes with the corresponding seasons of Fall and Spring.
  • There are two rainy seasons and roughly two dry seasons.
  • There are a few dry months when less than 100 cubic inches of rain fall.

Environmental issues

  • Farmers are a large problem for the tropical rain forest in South America.
  • When farmers ran out of room they began cutting down trees in the Tropical Rain Forest to clear room to farm.
  • After a few years the land used by the farmers where trees once stood became infertile.

Important materials to bring with you

  • Important materials to bring are: Long sleeve shirts, pants, a pair of boots, a hat, bug spray, first aid kit, a poncho, back pack and sunscreen .
  • You don't want to wear dark clothing it attracts mosquitoes and also they can bite threw tight clothes.
  • If you have long hair you want to bring plenty of hair ties.

  • Do you want to take a dream vacation?
  • The tropical rain forest would be a never forgetting vacation.
  • Almost every scientist has been to the Amazons Tropical Rain Forest it would be a life changing experience.
  • Also it would be unforgettable to see all the plant and animal life in rainforest.

  • This is a tree house in the tropical rainforest which is a great vacation spot.
  • This tree house is breath taking and has a view of the rain forest.
  • This site is very attractive to most visitors .
  • This tree house would cost about $120 dollars a night .
  • This would be a great family trip.

  • This lets the visitors to get a better view of the plants and animals.
  • This is why you should take a vacation to our biome it is amazing.

  • The climate of the rainforest is controlled by a band of clouds called Intertropical Convergence zone located near the equator.
  • Rainforest are classified by amount of rainfall each year.
  • The average rainfall is from 50 to 260 inches yearly the temperature is average 93 degrees and the lowest is 68 degrees.
