Contains 2 grams of dietary fiber.
A serving of ugli fruit supplies 2 percent of the 1,000 milligrams of calcium you need each day for strong bones and teeth.
The juice and fruit can be used to replace an orange.
6.
PURCHASING AND STORAGE
Most plentiful during the months of November to May.
It is available in leading chain stores or supermarkets.
When buying make sure the trade mark UGLI® clearly printed on it. This will assure you that you are buying the best quality and taste.
Store the fruit at room temperature for 5 days or in refrigerator for 2 weeks.
7.
People instructed by their doctors to stay away from grapefruit because of interactions with certain medicines use ugli fruit instead, because has not been found to contain furanocoumarins.
