PRESENTATION OUTLINE

REASONS WHY RFK IS A LEADER FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE:

  • Protested along side Martin Luther King Jr. in the civil rights movement in 1954-1968
  • Wanted equal rights for both black and white people in America
  • He didn't actually protest, but he supported everyone that did
  • He protested/supported peacefully
  • His goal for the movement was to protest in a nonviolent way

MORE REASONS:

  • Robert F. Kennedy gave his most famous and inspirational speech after Martin Luther King Jr. was killed
  • In his speech, Kennedy states that even though their friend and leader of the movement was killed, they should not be filled with anger and keep protesting peacefully
  • He wanted to convince the people of America that all people should have equal rights because because everyone was created equal and should be treated equal

Robert Francis Kennedy looked upon everyone and treated everyone like they were all the same because he believed that they were.

""What we need in the United States is not violence and lawlessness, but is love, and wisdom, and compassion toward one another.""
-Robert F. Kennedy

This shows that RFK was trying to convince everyone to keep striving for what they knew was right, but still have love for their enemies and not hatred.
