  • Minimum GPA: At least a 3.0 cumulative High School GPA
  • Other Requirements: Merit scholarship consideration will be based on the ACT/SAT test score with which students are admitted. Results from tests taken after the official October test date, initial or retakes, will not be taken into consideration for scholarship eligibility. This one year scholarship is Non-renewable. It cannot be deferred to another academic year.

Students are also expected to complete at least 67 percent of credits attempted during their career at the University of Utah, and to complete at least one class during any semester in which financial aid is received.

  • Residence Halls Our residence halls are targeted toward first-year students and students new to the university. We offer a variety of room types and layouts to best meet students' needs. Students who live in our residence halls are required to have a meal plan. Having a meal plan benefits students by providing convenience and saving them time since they do not have to prepare meals.   • Apartments Our two to four bedroom apartments include both private and shared bedrooms, shared bathrooms, a kitchen, and living room. Students who live in our apartments are not required to have a meal plan, but may participate in one if they would like. Our apartments are designed for sophomore students and above, with the exception of the Marriott Honors Community, which was designed for students admitted to the Honors College.
