  • During the past 4,000 years Mount St. Helens has erupted more frequently than any other volcano in the Cascade Range.
  • 3,600 years ago the Native Americans abandoned hunting grounds devastated by an enormous eruption four times larger than the May 18, 1980 eruption.
  • Went 123 years until it erupted again.
