He was born on September 25th,1949 in Calzada de Calatrava in Spain. He has two older sisters, Antonia, María Jesús and one brother Agustín. His father was Antonio Almodóvar and his mother was Francisca Caballero.
He became famous as a director and a screenwriter during La Movida Madrileña. In 1986, he established his own film production company, El Deseo. He got his global fame from a comedy-drama of his called Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown.

After Paco is murdered by Paula due to assault and their aunt Paula Paula passes, Irene's spirit appears more often, she has come to comfort her family.
