THE PROBLEM

  • The problems are that coral reefs are disappearing . The other problem is ocean acidification. Another problem is that coral reefs are also being degraded by many other factors. People are polluting the water.

WHATS CAUSES THE PROBLEM

  • Areas of the coral reefs are warmer by the climate. There is a lot of carbon dioxide in the water. A lot of people are fishing at coral reefs and putting a lot of chemical stuff in the water.

FUTURE EFFECTS

  • If people keep polluting it, a lot of fish would die, so would coral, and other marine life.

HOW POLLUTION AFFECTS CORAL REEFS

  • Plastic debris kills several reef species. Abandoned fishing nets still catch fish and other marine life.

OVER FISHING

  • People are overfishing at coral reefs.

CORAL MINING

  • Live coral is being removed from reefs to use as bricks, road-fill, cement for new buildings. Coral is also sold as souvenirs to tourists and to exporters.

PROMBLEM SOLVED

  • People are cleaning up the coral reef. They are checking on the marine life if they are ok.

WHAT WE CAN DO

  • We can clean up the coral reef. We could also check on the marine life if they are ok.

The summary of this project is that people are polluting in the ocean and a lot of marine life are getting hurt. Also that people are cleaning up the ocean.
