Honduras has lots of history, the first settlers that were found living in this place were tribes like the Mayans between others, until the Spanish came to conquer and take over.
The Spanish ruled until September the 15th of 1821, this is when they declared their independence from Spain. 2 years later they declared independence from the first Mexican empire, which was when Mexico owned land all the way to Central America. This how this country came to be Honduras.
