THE OFFICIAL NAME

  • Cuba's official name is Republican de Cuba.
  • It has an estimated population of 11,184,023 people.
  • Their capital is Havana.

MAJOR GEOLOGICAL ELEMENTS

  • Cuba is mostly plains
  • Cuba has three principal mountains.
  • About 60% of the land is used for agriculture.

  • The cuban currency is the peso.
  • One U.S. Dollar equals 26.5000 Cuban Pesos

  • Almost all of the population believes in Roman Catholicism.

  • One of the most important traditions is Cuban Boxing.
  • Baseball is also a huge attraction.
  • They also have a three day festival held at Santiago De Cuba.

FAMOUS CUBANS

  • Fidel Castro was the prime minister of Cuba and then it's dictator.
  • Andy Garcia is an actor that was nominated for an academy award.
  • Aroldis Chapman is a MLB player in the U.S.
  • He played in the All-Star Game and had an MLB record for fastest fast ball

INDEPENDENCE

  • On December 10th 1898 Cuba gained their independence.
  • It ended with the signing of the Treaty of Paris.

  • Cuba is a mostly temperate.
  • Droughts are very common here.
  • The average temperature is 81 Fahrenheit.

THE CUBAN FLAG

  • The three colors represent different things.
  • The white represents peace and honesty.
  • The red represents hardiness, bravery, strength, and valour.
  • The blue represents vigilance, truth and loyalty, preserve nice and justice.
