The Magistrate's Court
The Magistrate's Court is the first level of state courts.
There are a large sum of Magistrate's courts in Victoria.
the Magistrates court has the jurisdiction to hear minor indictable offenses and summary offenses.
COUNTY COURT
- The county court is the third highest court in the Victorian Court Hierarchy.
- It is located in the CBD
- The county court had both civil and criminal jurisdiction.
- It can hear all criminal cases except for murder and treason.
- The jury system is used in the county court.
The supreme court is the highest state level court in the victorian court hierarchy. its located in the CBD.
