"COLORFUL" FACTS!
- Crayons are generally 8.9 cm (3. 5 inches) lengthwise.
- Crayola started making crayons in 1903.
- Crayola is the leading producer of crayons in the world.
- Many artists in the time period of 1500-1700 used colored wax for their projects.
- Crayola has made over 133 different colored crayons, some retired, and some special edition crayons.
Edward Binney is the scientist that made the crayon. He had a amazing amount of innovation because he also was the person who invented the world's first dustless chalk.
The importance of crayons now is actually pretty amazing considering that they were made originally from left-over materials from a factory. They are now a doorway for kids all across the world to let their creativity flow.
BIG BLUE!
- This is the worlds biggest crayon!
- It weighs 1500lbs in total.
- It is 15 feet long and 16 inches in diameter.
- It was made from 123,000 old recycled blue crayons.

Crayons are cool little things that have surprised me ever sense my fingers were smaller than the crayons themselves. They are a cool invention that enables kids to express their creativity in limitless ways, and I am happy that I was able to do my project over them.
