Marco Polo

Ibn Battuta
I left my home during June of 1325. I chose to join a caravan for this travel. This is supposed do to be my first hajj. I first traveled to Béjaïa and then Tunis. I decided to stay in the town of Sfax where I got married. Around early Spring of 1326, I arrived at Alexandria where my fortune was told by 2 men. After that I went to Cairo and then Aydhab. However, there was a rebellion going on and I returned to Cairo. After a bit I went to Damascus where a holy man said I would only be able to arrive to Mecca through Syria.
